A Prayer at the end of the day.

Grant, O Lord, that each evening before we go to sleep,

we may reflect on the day that is coming to a close.

We ask that every unkind word or deed may be forgiven

and every uncharitable thought set right.

We pray that our good and generous deeds

may go down into the depths of our being.

May each day of our lives be blessed and sanctified.

Lord, make us ready for our final birth into eternity.

May we look forward with love and hope

to meeting Christ our Saviour and

May we look forward with love and hope

to meeting God our Heavenly Father.
