A friend is many different things

to each and every one,

Someone to share your worries with,

someone to share your fun.

A friend will always be there

to lend a helping hand,

and when you need to think things out

your friend will understand.

 

A friend will give opinions,

discuss things and advise,

and when you feel uncertain

a friend will say what’s wise.

And when you want to cry

your friend will give a shoulder

and the bond between the two of you

will deepen as you grow older.

 

For once a friendship starts

it goes from strength to strength,

and you’ll always treasure special times

that both of you have spent.

For friendship is important,

the most special thing by far.

A friend is warm and wonderful
