The death has occurred of Peggy (Margaret) Burke (née Ryan), The Quay, Thomastown, Kilkenny / Athlone, Westmeath and formerly of Listerlin, Tullogher on Saturday 27th January 2024.

Peggy,  surrounded by her loving family and supported by the wonderful staff of Sonas Nursing Home, Athlone and the Newtown Medical Centre, Athlone, previously resident of St. Joseph’s, Kilmoganny and Stratmore Lodge, Callan.

Predeceased by her husband Alfie and her son T.J. (Thomas Joseph).

Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Delia (Connell), son Donie (U.S.A.), brother Tom, son-in-law Pearse, Breda, grandchildren Simon, Nichola and Emily, her great grandson Leo, wonderful nieces and nephews Mike, Ann (Power), Martin, Wally, Teresa (Farrell), Thomas and extended Ryan and Burke families.

Peggy’s Funeral Mass took place on Tuesday, January 30th, in St. David’s Church, Listerlin, Co. Kilkenny with Cremation on Wednesday January 31st.
